Who Am I?

15541990_10153988832892382_1025685798843887671_n My name is Megan (Parmarter) Zimmerman (1990-) and I currently live in Erie, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Duquesne University in 2014 with a BA in English. I focused in Creative Writing and also obtained minors in Psychology and Pre Medicine. I was a coxswain on the women’s rowing team during that time. I graduated from Duquesne University in 2020 with my Master’s degree in English, tracking in literature and writing. During my time as a graduate student, I fell in love with linguistics and performed some independent research regarding syntax use in fiction.

After graduating undergrad, I spent two years back in Erie working as a Privacy and Compliance Specialist. Right at my two-year mark, I left my job and traveled with my now-husband for a month, making stops in Japan, Guam, Hawaii, and Las Vegas. When I came back, I was offered a position on the Duquesne Rowing coaching staff as a coxswain coach. I worked for Duquesne for over four years before returning to Erie to work as an administrative assistant at Passport Realty.

When I’m not busy with my work duties, I can generally be found reading, writing, drawing, crafting, or playing video games.

If you would like to help support my creative endeavors, you can donate through my Ko-fi page.
